Shayne Tristan Uyeda, 44, of Miami, Fla., and formerly of the Big Island, died Oct. 19 at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami. Born in Honolulu, he served in the United States Air Force and was regional manager for Burberry Ltd. Inc. Private services. Survived by partner, Sergio Moreno of Miami; mother, Darolyn Tanigawa of Keaau; sisters, Coreen (Chris) Roddie and Kami Tanigawa, both of Keaau, and Sharian (Jesse) Stacy of Waikoloa; brother, Ricky (Katy) Halualani of Kona; grandparents, Joe (Rose) Calica of Keaau; numerous nieces, nephews, aunta, uncles and cousins.

JoAnn M. Courtney-Suttle, 60, of Kurtistown died Nov. 24 at her home. Born in Honolulu, she was the parish secretary, a religious education coordinator, and an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Mountain View. Joseph Akira Ishizaki Ignacio, 87, of Hilo died Nov. 24 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Papaikou, he was the retired proprietor for the former Iggie’s TV, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Kapualani Kumiai. Diosdada “Dading” Mendoza Natividad, 66, of Nanawale Estate, Puna, died Thursday, Nov. 7, at her residence. Born in Luzon, Philippines, she was a proprietress for a papaya farm in Pahoa. Yukio Takeya, 87, of Hilo died Nov. 12 in Japan. Born in Wailea, he was the president of Ala Kai Realty, a retired USPS mail carrier, retired U.S. Army Major and World War II veteran 442nd RCT, and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Hawaii Island Board of Realtors, Hawaii Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hawaii, Hawaii Island Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, Japanese Community Association of Hawaii, Big Island Housing Foundation, Hiroshima Kenjin Kai, and Kumamoto Doshi Kai.
